Again, we have an interaction between Jesus and the disciples that ends in "whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant."
The disciples in Mark are simply dense. They still don't get it. And thinking up blog posts on the same point is getting challenging...
It's primary day here in NC. We hear nothing but "we're the best," "we're the winners...we need to be the winners...we'll always be the winners," "do whatever you can to keep us from losing," and so forth.
I'm not hearing much about being servants of all. Of the right party, yes. Of the right constituency, yes. Of the right principle, yes. Of all?
Guess we're pretty dense, too.
Makes you wonder what it might take....
